Richmond, BC

The Kajaks Family is proud to welcome New Balance Richmond as an official Gold Medal Kajaks Backer!  “We’re very fortunate and extremely grateful for this partnership with New Balance Richmond,” noted Kajaks Track & Field Club Head Coach Garrett Collier, “New Balance has a rich tradition of helping people and communities achieve their goals, just like the Kajaks Track & Field Club,” adding, “Plus their gear looks great!”

“Last year it was great to have them aboard as the title sponsor for the BC Elementary School Track & Field Championships. New Balance Richmond and Kajaks are like minded partners looking at building strong relationships within their community.  It was a natural fit.” Echoing Collier’s comments, New Balance Richmond owner Jordan Cluff remarked, “New Balance is very excited to partner with the Kajaks.  Community partnerships are essential for success of a local business and I can’t think of a more complimentary partnership – run, store, run club.”

The partnership includes $5000 in financial support, funding towards the Kajaks Track Rascals program, discounts on New Balance team apparel and 20% off for all club members.  The Richmond store will also play host to a Kajaks TFC Run Club set to start this spring.  As a Gold Medal sponsor for the 50th Annual BC Elementary Championships and the Steveston Icebreaker 8K, New Balance Richmond will continue to support two of Richmond’s signature sporting events.  On the goal of this partnership, Cluff adds, “In the process, we hope to become the second club house for Kajaks members – a meeting place that everyone knows you name.  In this day and age of screens and online shopping, why not come and be social with your local store and in the process feel a connection with where you live.”

New Balance Richmond is located at 1410-4771 McClelland Road in Richmond across from the new an improved Garden City Lands.

The #KajaksBacker program was started this year with the hopes of raising funds for Kajaks Track & Field Club programs and events.  For more information on this program, please contact the Kajaks Track & Field Club at info@kajaks.ca or by visiting www.kajaks.ca/kajaksbackers
The Kajaks Track & Field Club is a non-profit organization and a member of BC Athletics.
