NEW CLUB UPDATES

TRAINING SESSIONS

In accordance with BC Health Ministry and BC Athletics recommended guidelines and regulations all coach-led group training sessions are currently postponed. Athletes are encouraged to train individually during this time.

ONLINE TRAINING

Our Kajaks TFC Staff is currently working on training plans that our athletes can do at home. We encouarge all our athletes to stay sharp and use this time to improve the things they can control. Treating this as an opportunity will help keep you focus on life after COVID-19. Programs will be posted on the club website at www.kajaks.ca/COVID-19 under “Online Training Section”

KEEP IT SOCIAL!

We want to hear from you and share what you’re doing at home to better yourself. If you’re gonna post anything on social media, feel free to tag us @kajakstfc and use the hastag #KajaksFam

TRAINING FACILITIES

Minoru Park and Clement Track are to remain open – for now. After making the decision to close it on Monday (March 23) the city made the decision to re-open on Tuesday (March 24). As of now, the city is not closing all public parks with the rationale that outdoor spaces allow people to engage in individual, socially distanced outdoor activities.

EVENTS

The following events have been cancelled

  • 52nd Annual BC Elementary Track & Field Championships;
  • 2020 ThrowsFest (postponed);
  • 2020 55+ Games

MEMBERSHIP FEES

The KajaksTFC Board of Directors will be reviewing 2020 membership fees in accordance with any decisions made by BC Athletics. We will update our members on this after May 30, 2020. We appreciate your patience.
