The Kajaks Track & Field Club is pleased to present the Inaugural Minoru Mile sponsored by the Richmond 150 and Canada 150!  As an homage to one of the greatest races in sports history, Kajaks Track & Field Club will welcome some of BC’s fastest male and female Mile racers to compete head to head in front of our future track & field champions at the 49th Annual BC Elementary School Track & Field Championships.  Be there on Friday, May 26th at 7:00 PM as our runners take the line to chase one of Canada’s richest traditions, the Mile!

INVITATIONS:

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR 2017 – In order to participate in the Minoru Mile, Coaches must request an invitation from the race director via email.  To request an invitation, please contact the race director at kajaks.collier@gmail.com

REGISTRATION:

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR 2017 – Invited athletes may register online at Trackie.reg.  To request an invitation, please contact the race director at kajaks.collier@gmail.com

PRIZE STRUCTURE:

Runners are eligible for the following prize money:

  • First Place: $300 CDN
  • Second Place: $200 CDN
  • Third Place: $100 CDN

Athletes are also eligible for bonuses for the following performances:

  • $100.00 CDN for breaking 4:00.00 in the Men’s Race; and
  • $100.00 CDN for breaking 4:28.00 in the Women’s Race

*Please note that High School athletes and some Post Secondary athletes may not be eligible to receive prize money.  These athletes are still welcome to compete, however they will not receive money.  In the case that a non-eligible athlete places in the top 3, prize money will be awarded to the next place (ie. 4th).  It is the responsibility pf the athlete to notify the race director if he/she CANNOT accept prize money for eligibility reasons.
