Our History
The Kajaks Family Volunteers
Kajaks is grateful for the enormous contributions of our Kajaks Family Volunteers every year!
Your support allows us to offer programs and events for athletes from age 6-80+!
Member athletes & their families are required to complete volunteer hours in support of club activities according to the chart on this page.
Annual members will please submit a volunteer deposit by sending a cheque dated for July 1, 2025 for $200, payable to
Kajaks Track & Field Club, to the address below.
This must be done within 30 days of registration to ensure the athlete is eligible to attend practice.
Send the post-dated cheque to this address:

OFFICIALS Slideshow
DID YOU KNOW THAT SOME "VOLUNTEER JOBS" COUNT AS CREDITS TO BECOMING AN OFFICIAL?
If you believe in fair play and enjoy seeing the athletes compete and try their best, or if you want to learn more about the rules of track and field, then this might be for you!
Being an Official is not a daunting task. BC Athletics has pathways that help streamline your certification towards becoming one. It's as easy as taking an online module (one session of less than an hour), and get credit for hands-on training while doing the volunteer jobs at the meets.
Sample tasks are:
Track - watching athletes stay within their lanes, counting # of laps for distance events, marshalling athletes and ensuring each athlete is in the correct lane, watching athletes pass baton within exchange zone for relays, etc.
Field - calling out the order of athletes and recording results, marking where they or the implement lands, pulling the measuring tape, reading the measurement on the tape, and many more.
