May 27 to 29 - A great weekend it was! The BCEC52 is done!
We hosted 1006 athletes and their entourages, plus 23 track rascals racers for three days in our home park, Minoru.
It was great to see athletes, families, friends, and coaches from different parts of B.C. gather under one banner called Track and Field!
The spirit of camaraderie abounded as athletes cheered for their teammates and clapped for their competitors. Fist bumps and hand shakes all around, and the polite thank yous made the days brighter for our volunteers. Seeing athletes try their best with smiles on their faces stays true to the goal of this meet - For children to stay active and have fun while trying their best through Athletics.
Huge thanks to our Coaches, Board Members, BC Athletics Officials for their presence and leadership, and to all our Kajaks volunteers! We couldn't have done this without you!
