STEVESTON ICEBREAKER 8KM &
NEW BALANCE 1KM KIDSRUN
The Kajaks Track & Field Club is excited to host the Steveston Icebreaker 8km Road Race/Walk, and New Balance 2.5km and 1km Kids races annually in January each year. The Icebreaker 8k is one of the marquee road running events in the province and the first races of the Lower Mainland Road Race Series.
The Icebreaker 8k is Richmond's only road race, and one of the major fundraisers for the Club. In addition, all proceeds from the New Balance 1K Kidsrun go directly to KidSport Richmond so more kids can have the gift of sport. The event brings thousands of people to Steveston Village race weekend and sells out each year. We love to see as many Kajaks Fam out on race day, volunteering or racing. B.C. ELEMENTARY TRACK AND FIELD PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Open to all BC elementary students ages 9 to 13 years. No qualifying events necessary. Register as a part of your school or as an individual. Be the best in the province, medals for top three in each event!
